L'arte della ceramica
The Arte della Ceramica Positano is a craft pottery shop, where the artist Lisa Cinque sells traditional ceramics from the Amalfi Coast, works of art produced with the ancient raku technique in which she specialized. "Tradition is nothing without innovation and innovation is always the daughter of tradition" this is the mantra of Lisa Cinque who, like a haute cuisine chef, combines the typical ingredients of classical artistic pottery of the Amalfi Coast with the ancient techniques of raku Japanese but with an obsessive attention to new work approaches, to create unique pieces destined to last over time.
Terracotta but not only: at Arte della Ceramica, you also work with iridescent glazes, with lava stone, clays and modern shapes so you can take home a unique piece of Positano, just like your journey, just like you.
Frequently asked questions
Customization, shipping, care of lava stone tables: the answers to the questions we are asked most often.
Ask us a questionWhat are your tables made of?
Our tables are made of Etna lava stone, cut according to the desired shape, glazed and rigorously painted by hand. They are then fired in special kilns at about 960 degrees. The thickness varies from 2 to 3 cm depending on the size.
Can I customize a table?
Yes. Each table is a unique piece and can be customized on request: shape, size and decoration. Once you have chosen your favorite decoration you can add your initials, a dedication or your company logo. Changes to the decoration may change the price: write to us for a quote.
Is the base included in the price?
No: the price refers to the ceramic top. The wrought iron base, the optional accessories (such as chairs) and shipping are not included. You can find bases and chairs in the Accessories section.
Can lava stone tables stay outdoors?
Yes. Glazed lava stone is shock, scratch and stain resistant, heat resistant, frost-proof and resistant to sunlight, so it withstands all temperatures and is ideal both outdoors and indoors.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on the size and destination of your order, so they are calculated after the order is confirmed: we contact you with the exact cost before shipping.
How can I pay?
Online orders are paid by bank transfer: with the order confirmation we send you our bank details together with the shipping costs.
